Teaching experience and music education

I have been teaching since 2012 and currently maintain a studio of over 20 students. I have experience teaching students aged 6 to adult and love helping everyone learn this amazing instrument! I graduated summa cum laude from Silver Lake College with a Bachelor’s in piano performance and pedagogy. I have recently studied the Taubman Approach with Dr. Joao Paulo Cassaroti of St. Norbert's University; this approach focuses on healthy and ergonomic technique to produce comfortable and beautiful playing. I am constantly growing as a teacher and striving to offer the best possible learning experience to my students. My students successfully perform in recitals and often place first in events such as the MMTA Composition Festival or MMTA Fall Festival, as well as advancing on to WMTA state Regional Auditions and receiving honorable mentions. Students are also encouraged to play for community events or at church.

Music-related activities

I am a member of the Oshkosh Area Music Teachers Association which offers ongoing professional development and performance opportunities for students. I have presented at the annual state conference of WMTA, performed in multiple honors recitals at Silver Lake College, and performed in the Joseph Sartori Concert Series. I enjoy performing for weddings, accompanying for Solo & Ensemble vocal students, and playing for church services.
